The East Lawrence Eagles softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Russellville Golden Tigers to 7 in the Eagles non-league win on Saturday.

The Eagles now possess a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Morgan for a 4A Area 13 battle on Tuesday, March 11. East Lawrence will confront a Rebels team coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Brewer (Somerville, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, Russellville moves to 0-10 on the season. The Golden tigers travel to Haleyville (Haleyville, AL) to confront the Lions in a non-league battle on Monday, March 10. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 2-8. Haleyville lost 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against Phil Campbell (Phil Campbell, AL)
