The Springfield Bulldogs edged the host Franklinton Demons softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Slaughter Community Charter Knights (Slaughter, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 15-10 non-league loss to Pine (Franklinton, LA).

The Demons (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Sumner (Kentwood, LA). The Cowboys enter the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Sumner edged St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA), 19-2, in a non-league challenge.
