In Saturday's non-league match, the host La Cueva Bears softball team scored a tight 3-0 win over the La Habra Highlanders.
The Bears (4-3) will now prepare for their match against La Mirada (La Mirada, CA). The Matadores come into the non-league match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, La Mirada nipped Bonita (La Verne, CA), 12-7, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Highlanders confront the Chino Hills Huskies (Chino Hills, CA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 8. La Habra will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Huskies come into the match with a 6-4 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Torrance (Torrance, CA).
