The Oxford Yellow Jackets got by the visiting Alexandria Valley Cubs baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Yellow Jackets now possess a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Austin for a non-league bout on Monday, March 14. Oxford will face a Black Bears team coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Athens (Athens, AL). The Black Bears record now stands at 3-6.
Next, the Valley Cubs face the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils (Kimberly, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 11. Alexandria will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 7-6 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Leeds (Leeds, AL).
