Davie War Eagles (Mocksville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The War Eagles now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host East Forsyth for a Central Piedmont 4A challenge on Friday, March 11. Davie will face a Eagles squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, South Iredell falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to face the Ragin' Bulls in a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Ragin' Bulls enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Hickory Ridge won 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)
