The Monterey Trail Mustangs softball team scored 22 runs and limited the host Sacramento Dragons to 8 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Monterey Trail improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA) to clash with the Miners in a non-league game on Thursday, March 10. The Miners come into the game with a record of 3-3. Nevada Union lost 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Woodcreek (Roseville, CA)

In their next game, the Dragons clash with the Rosemont Wolverine (Sacramento, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 10. Sacramento will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Wolverine come into the game with a 2-6 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA).
