The Malta Mustangs basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Lame Deer Morning Stars to 49 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bigfork for a non-league contest on Friday, March 10. Malta will battle a Vikings & Valkyries team coming off a 55-48 non-league win over Red Lodge (Red Lodge, MT). The Vikings & Valkyries record now stands at 20-4.

The Morning Stars (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Red Lodge (Red Lodge, MT). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Red Lodge was defeated by Bigfork (Bigfork, MT), 55-48, in a non-league contest.
