Montana High School Basketball - Columbus tipped by Malta

The Malta Mustangs basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Columbus Cougars to 38 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 23-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sweet Grass County for a non-league contest on Friday, March 10. Malta will meet a Sheepherders team coming off a 43-34 non-league win over Loyola-Sacred Heart (Missoula, MT). The Sheepherders record now stands at 22-2.

The Cougars (15-10) will now prepare for their contest against Loyola-Sacred Heart (Missoula, MT). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Loyola-Sacred Heart was nudged by Sweet Grass County (Big Timber, MT), 43-34, in a non-league contest.
