The Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS) basketball felled the host Independence Bulldogs (Independence, KS), 53-40 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Stags go into the non-league test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Bishop Miege thwarted Wellington (Wellington, KS), 71-40, in a non-league test.
