The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls crushed the visiting Columbus Cardinals baseball team by a count of 21-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Fighting Owls now possess a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Madisonville for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 9. Anderson-Shiro will face a Mustangs team coming off a 18-9 non-league win over Bellville (Bellville, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-2.
Next, the Cardinals face the Tidehaven Tigers (El Maton, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, March 12. Columbus will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 7-5 record after their 9-8 non-league win over East Bernard (East Bernard, TX).
