In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Covington Lions baseball team scored a tight 5-1 victory over the Central Lafourche Trojans.
The Lions (11-4) will now prepare for their game against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars go into the non-league game with a 6-6 record. In their last game, Pope John Paul II was overwhelmed by Northshore (Slidell, LA), 3-1, in a non-league game.
The Trojans (3-13) will now prepare for their game against South Lafourche (Galliano, LA). The Tarpons go into the non-league game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, South Lafourche was overwhelmed by Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA), 10-0, in a non-league game.
