The Greenville Lions crushed the visiting Quitman Bulldogs baseball team by a count of 17-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to McKinney North for a 5A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, March 12. Greenville will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Independence (Frisco, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-2.
Next, the Bulldogs face the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, March 12. Quitman will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 10-11 record after their 14-0 league loss to Holliday (Holliday, TX).
