The Sherman Bearcats the visiting Newman Smith Trojans baseball team by a count of 5-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bearcats now possess a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a 5A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, March 12. Sherman will face a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Royse City (Royse City, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-5.
Next, the Trojans face the Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 bout, on Wednesday, March 13. Newman Smith will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Lions enter the bout with a 5-8 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Liberty (Frisco, TX).
