The Canyon Cowboys held off the host California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cowboys now have a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taft for a non-league test on Saturday, March 9. Canyon will confront a Toreadors team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Saugus (Saugus, CA). The Toreadors record now stands at 2-1.
The Coyotes (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Centennial (Compton, CA). The Apaches enter the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Centennial was nudged by Inglewood (Inglewood, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
