The California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes held off the visiting Hawthorne Cougars volleyball team by a score of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Coyotes now have a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league test on Saturday, March 9. California Academy of Math & Science will confront a Apaches team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Inglewood (Inglewood, CA). The Apaches record now stands at 0-2.
The Cougars (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Centennial (Compton, CA). The Apaches enter the Ocean test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Centennial was nudged by California Academy of Math & Science (Carson, CA), 1-0, in a non-league test.
