Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Mary's Dominican (New Orleans, LA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now sport a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salmen for a 4A District 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 12.
With the loss, St. Mary's Dominican falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The host Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA) to face the Chipmunks in a 5A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Chipmunks enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Archbishop Chapelle won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA)
