The Dutchtown Griffins softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Barbe Buccaneers to 1 in the Griffins non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Dutchtown moves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Griffins travel to Mt. Carmel (New Orleans, LA) to clash with the Cubs in a non-league game on Saturday, March 9. The Cubs come into the game with a record of 9-1. Mt. Carmel lost 18-2 in their recent non-league game against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA)

In their next game, the Buccaneers clash with the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) in a 5A District 3 game, on Tuesday, March 12. Barbe will attempt to move on its 9-10 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the game with a 5-7 record after their 14-10 non-league win over Berwick (Berwick, LA).
