The Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) softball routed the host South Beauregard Knights (Longville, LA), 23-8 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats (7-6) will now prepare for their bout against Benton (Benton, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Benton notched a victory over Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA), 6-1, in a non-league bout.
The Knights now possess a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Rayne for a non-league bout on Monday, March 11. South Beauregard will confront a Wolves squad coming off a 19-2 league win over LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 7-8.
