The Lacassine Cardinals softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Oberlin Tigers to 7 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Lacassine improves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Cardinals host DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, March 9. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 5-7. DeQuincy won 16-0 in their recent non-league game against St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 11. Oberlin will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Greyhounds come into the game with a 3-7 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Iowa (Iowa, LA).
