Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pierce Bears (Arbuckle, CA), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Esparto for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Maxwell will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Chester (Chester, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Pierce falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Princeton (Princeton, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Princeton lost 19-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Burney (Burney, CA)
