Mountain Brook Spartans (Birmingham, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Randolph County Tigers (Wedowee, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hokes Bluff for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. Mountain Brook will face a Eagles squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Randolph County falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9.
