The Raton Tigers softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Shiprock Chieftains to 6 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Raton moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Tigers host Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to play the Elks/Elkettes in a non-league game on Thursday, March 14. The Elks/Elkettes come into the game with a record of 2-4. Pojoaque Valley lost 14-1 in their recent non-league game against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM)

In their next game, the Chieftains play the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 19. Shiprock will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
