Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carter for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. Sonora will face a Lions squad coming off a 15-4 non-league win over Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA). The Lions record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Rio Linda falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Argonaut (Jackson, CA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Argonaut won 5-2 in their recent non-league test against Galt (Galt, CA)
