West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Martin Yellow Jackets (Ocean Springs, MS), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Choctaw Central for a 4A Region 4 challenge on Thursday, March 21. West Lauderdale will face a Warriors squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Hernando (Hernando, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, St. Martin falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host East Central (Moss Point, MS) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. East Central won 10-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Brandon (Brandon, MS)
