The Sumner Cowboys softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Vidalia Vikings to 4 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Sumner moves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Cowboys host Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA) to clash with the Lumberjacks in a 3A District 7 game on Tuesday, March 12. The Lumberjacks come into the game with a record of 0-4. Bogalusa lost 34-30 in their recent non-league game against Independence (Independence, LA)

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 9. Vidalia will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 14-0 league loss to Franklinton (Franklinton, LA).
