Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Sunday as they saw their lacrosse team achieve victory over the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 12-8 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Blue Ridge improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Barons travel to New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA) to play the Gryphons in a VISAA Division 3 game on Friday, March 14. The Gryphons come into the game with a record of 0-0.

The now have a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to UMS-Wright Prep for a AL East game on Wednesday, March 12. Varsity Opponent will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Pensacola Catholic (Pensacola, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
