In Friday's non-league game, the host Highland Bulldogs baseball team scored a tight 11-8 victory over the Murphysboro Red Devils.
The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 4-2 record.
The Red Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Massac County (Metropolis, IL). The Patriots go into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Massac County tipped Vienna (Vienna, IL), 6-5, in a non-league game.
