The crowd at Friday's non-league game between the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) and the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), saw North Davidson's lacrosse team nudge Watauga by a margin of 6-5.

The Black Knights (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Camels enter the Mid-State/Mid Piedmont/NW Piedmont game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Atkins was tipped by Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC), 16-3, in a league game.

The Pioneers (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes enter the NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Hickory was tipped by T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 7-6, in a league game.
