The Sarasota Sailors lacrosse team scored 6 points and limited the visiting Manatee Hurricanes to 5 in the Sailors league triumph on Friday.
The Sailors (9-6) will now prepare for their game against Venice (Venice, FL). The Indians go into the non-league match with a 3-6 record. In their last match, Venice nudged Barron Collier (Naples, FL), 14-10, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Manatee drops to 3-6 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton, FL) to play the Mustangs in a 2A D11 match on Tuesday, April 5. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 8-5. Lakewood Ranch won 14-7 in their recent league match against Sickles (Tampa, FL)
