Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 16-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Barbe for a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Acadiana will battle a Buccaneers squad coming off a 16-3 league win over New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Comeaux falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to battle the Broncos in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 12-5. Sam Houston won 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Notre Dame (Crowley, LA)
