Carlisle Indians (Carlisle, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South Williamsport Mountaineers (South Williamsport, PA), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. Carlisle will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, South Williamsport falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA) to battle the Bluejays in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Bluejays enter the challenge with a record of 3-0.
