The Ozona Lions routed the visiting Fort Hancock Mustangs softball squad by a count of 21-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Lions (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against McCamey (McCamey, TX). The Badgers go into the 2A Region I District 5 battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, McCamey was routed by Alpine (Alpine, TX), 7-3, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Van Horn for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 12. Fort Hancock will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 21-1 non-league loss to Sonora (Sonora, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
