Louisiana High School Softball - Gulfport holds off Ponchatoula

April 1, 2022: Ponchatoula, LA 70454

The Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) softball the host Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA), 4-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Admirals (12-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hancock (Kiln, MS). The Hawks go into the 6A Region 8 bout with a 13-5 record. In their last bout, Hancock held off Gautier (Gautier, MS), 11-3, in a non-league bout.

The Green Wave now possess a 20-8 record. They play next when they travel to Chalmette for a non-league bout on Monday, April 4. Ponchatoula will confront a Owls squad coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Lutcher (Lutcher, LA). The Owls record now stands at 8-1.
