The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) and the host Joliet West Tigers (Joliet, IL), saw Providence Catholic's softball squad achieve victory over Joliet West by a count of 11-1.

The Celtics now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coal City for a non-league match on Friday, April 1. Providence Catholic will face a Coalers squad coming off a 10-7 league loss to Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Joliet West falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lockport (Lockport, IL) to face the Porters in a non-league match on Monday, April 4. The Porters enter the match with a record of 3-1. Lockport won 10-1 in their recent non-league match against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL)
