Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL), 10-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Porters now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Joliet West for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. Lockport will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Providence Catholic falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Celtics travel to Coal City (Coal City, IL) to battle the Coalers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 1. The Coalers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Coal City lost 10-7 in their recent league challenge against Peotone (Peotone, IL)
