The Newman Central Catholic Comets softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Milledgeville Missiles to 4 in the Comets non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Newman Central Catholic moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Comets host Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL) to encounter the Storm in a Three Rivers test on Monday, April 4. The Storm come into the test with a record of 4-2. Bureau Valley lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Riverdale (Port Byron, IL)

The Missiles (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Galena (Galena, IL). The Pirates come into the non-league test with a 3-1 record.
