New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Trevians now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hersey for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. New Trier will face a Huskies squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Barrington (Barrington, IL). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Rolling Meadows falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Glenbard East (Lombard, IL) to face the Rams in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Glenbard East lost 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL)
