The Hardin Valley Academy Hawks baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Portland Panthers to 3 in the Hawks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hawks (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Heritage (Maryville, TN). The Mountaineers go into the 4A District 4 match with a 3-13 record. In their last match, Heritage tipped York Institute (Jamestown, TN), 10-3, in a non-league match.
The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their match against Bearden (Knoxville, TN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 9-4 record. In their last match, Bearden was overwhelmed by Providence Academy (Johnson City, TN), 3-2, in a non-league match.
