In Saturday's non-league game, the host Mendota Aztecs baseball team scored a tight 7-1 victory over the Strathmore Spartans.
The Aztecs (9-4) will now prepare for their game against Avenal (Avenal, CA). The Buccaneers go into the West Sierra game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Avenal tipped Laton (Laton, CA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
The Spartans (3-6) will now prepare for their game against Orange Cove (Orange Cove, CA). The Titans go into the East Sequoia - Sequoia game with a 3-7 record. In their last game, Orange Cove was overwhelmed by Mendota (Mendota, CA), 5-4, in a non-league game.
