Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS), 6-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Petal upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to battle the Warriors in a 6A Region 5 test on Tuesday, April 4. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 14-5. Oak Grove won 14-3 in their recent non-league test against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS)

With the defeat, North Pike falls to 6-6 on the season. The Jaguars travel to McComb (McComb, MS) to battle the Tigers in a 4A Region 6 test on Tuesday, April 11. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 11-5.
