The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Smithtown West (Smithtown, NY) and the host Commack Cougars (Commack, NY), saw Smithtown West's lacrosse team nudge Commack by a margin of 6-5.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against William Floyd (Mastic Beach, NY). The Colonials enter the Section 11 I challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, William Floyd edged Bay Shore (Bay Shore, NY), 11-5, in a league challenge.
