Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they host Sulphur for a 5A District 3 challenge on Monday, April 3. Acadiana will battle a Golden Tors squad coming off a 20-2 league win over New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Golden Tors record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Academy of Our Lady falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Penguins travel to Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 12-6. Catholic of Pointe Coupee won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA)
