Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers (Chattanooga, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Point Warriors (Cullman, AL), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame for a D II-A East 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 5. Boyd-Buchanan will battle a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Hixson (Hixson, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, West Point falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Brighton (Brighton, TN) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Brighton won 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY)
