In Saturday's non-league contest, the West County Bulldogs (Leadwood, MO) softball team held off the visiting Diamond Wildcats (Diamond, MO), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, West County moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 1. The Mountaineers come into the contest with a record of 11-1. Mt. Vernon won 9-1 in their recent non-league contest against Forsyth (Forsyth, MO)
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Liberal Bulldogs (Liberal, MO) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 3. Diamond will attempt to move on its 14-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 8-5 non-league loss to Adrian (Adrian, MO).
