Santa Paula Cardinals (Santa Paula, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rio Mesa for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. Santa Paula will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 13-1.

With the loss, West Ranch falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Saugus (Saugus, CA) to battle the Centurions in a Foothill challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Centurions enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Saugus won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA)
