In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Harding Academy Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Cabot Panthers.
The Wildcats (9-2) will now prepare for their game against Central (West Helena, AR). The Cougars go into the 3A Region 6 game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Central was edged by Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR), 25-0, in a league game.
The Panthers (12-3) will now prepare for their game against Bryant (Bryant, AR). The Hornets go into the 6A Central game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Bryant tipped Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR), 7-5, in a league game.
