The Polk County Wolverines baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Chesnee Eagles to 0 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Monday.
The Wolverines (8-5) will now prepare for their match against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers go into the Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A match with a 13-0 record. In their last match, R-S Central edged Draughn (Valdese, NC), 12-0, in a non-league match.
The Eagles (4-10) will now prepare for their match against Christ School (Arden, NC). The Greenies go into the non-league match with a 7-4 record. In their last match, Christ School was overwhelmed by Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC), 4-3, in a non-league match.
