West Boylston Lions (West Boylston, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs (Marlborough, MA), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Murdock for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2.

With the loss, Assabet Valley RVT falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Montachusett RVT (Fitchburg, MA) to battle the Bulldogs in a Colonial Large challenge on Monday, April 8. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
