Darien Blue Wave (Darien, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Wave now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lauralton Hall for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. Darien will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 22-9 non-league loss to Law (Milford, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Bunnell falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Stratford (Stratford, CT) to face the Red Devils in a Southwest - Colonial challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
