Magnet Cove Panthers (Malvern, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cutter-Morning Star Eagles (Hot Springs National Park, AR), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they host Conway Christian for a 2A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 2.

With the loss, Cutter-Morning Star falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mount Ida (Mount Ida, AR) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Mount Ida won 19-9 in their recent league challenge against Blevins (Blevins, AR)
